China National Chemical Engineering Group Co., Ltd. was officially awarded the bid for the gasification purification section of the Takir Fertilizer Project in India. On September 19, it was officially awarded the bid for the synthetic ammonia and urea section. The total contract value was equivalent to approximately RMB 8 billion.

The project is located in Angur, Orissa, India. It is the world ’s largest single-series coal-based chemical fertilizer project and the first modern large-scale coal-based chemical fertilizer project in India. The project scale is 730,000 tons / year of synthetic ammonia and 1.27 million tons. Urea / year is an EPC turnkey project involving patents, design, procurement, construction and start-up. The scope of China's chemical engineering work includes all process equipment including coal preparation, air separation, coal gasification, purification, ammonia synthesis and urea, as well as some public utilities such as circulating water and power supply and distribution, with a total construction period of 46 months.

India ’s oil and gas resources are scarce, and there is little self-produced oil and gas, which requires a large amount of imports; coal resources are abundant, but deep processing is not enough. The completion of the project will have important demonstration significance and guiding role for the development of coal chemical industry in India and the development of the entire Indian chemical market.
