Ancient city oil mine water "fishing" more than 1,000 tons of oil

SINOPEC News (Fang Wenhua, Hu Qiang) In the Gucheng Oil Production Plant of the No. 2 Production Plant of Henan Oilfield, nitrogen gas throughput measures were carried out in 16 normally-extracted and high-water wells, and cumulative oil production was 1,295 tons, which achieved a good effect of increasing production.

The Gu 4210 well is a regular well in the 125th district, and was put into operation in early November 2001. On June 16th, 2011, after the operation was pressure-extracted, the daily production of crude oil fell from 1.7 tons before pressure measurement to 0.3 tons, and the water content rose from 93% to 99%. The technicians took measures such as the dynamic deployment of wells and plugging of oil wells and other measures. They were still “sick” and the oil production capacity was completely lost. The water content was 100% and the well was shut. In March of this year, the technicians used their brains to work hard and made a tailored “treatment” plan for nitrogen—nitrogen throughput. After the well had been treated with nitrogen, the well had already “healed” and produced 4.9 tons of crude oil in the initial period. At present, the well is stable to produce 2.1 tons of crude oil and reduce the water content to 87%.

There is a common problem in Chang 123 block, Bin 124 block, and Bin 125 block in Gucheng Oilfield. The number of high-water wells increases year by year. At present, high-water-cut oil wells account for 85% of the total number of oil wells.

The treatment of well-used high-water wells has always been a “profound and difficult” problem. In the past, the “conventional weapons”—blocking water, profile control, and other mechanical sealing methods were used to improve the treatment. It was not only difficult to seal, but could not be found. The water layer has little effect. Under the circumstances that regular water plugging is repeatedly defeated, how to “game” with high-water-cut oil wells and increase its oil well production capacity is a new challenge.

Geological and technical personnel broke the convention and learned from the successful experience of nitrogen-assisted heat treatment in heavy oil thermal recovery blocks, and boldly tried to use nitrogen gas blocking mechanism to implement nitrogen gas saturating technology in wells with high water content in normal mining blocks. Nitrogen throughput is the injection of nitrogen into the oil layers of high-water wells, followed by pumping out of wells, which greatly increases single well productivity.

The technology of nitrogen gas slush technology is simple, effectively solves the problems of poor oil-enhancing effect of mechanical plugging and rapid increase of water content. It achieves both the purpose of increasing oil and precipitation and opens up a new way for the treatment of high-water wells in old areas. .
