Guizhou's capital city, Guiyang, is set to implement real-time pollution monitoring at selected construction sites starting in July. This initiative aims to promote cleaner and more responsible construction practices while significantly reducing dust emissions that contribute to air pollution.
The new system will focus on monitoring PM10 and PM2.5 levels at construction sites, collecting and transmitting data in real time. This will allow local authorities to track air quality conditions across the city’s construction zones and respond quickly when pollution levels rise. By gaining better insight into particulate matter concentrations, officials can take timely actions to improve air quality and establish long-term strategies for managing dust pollution effectively.
Currently, the Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, along with other relevant departments, is working together to coordinate this project. Starting in July, pilot programs will be launched at several key construction sites, with plans to expand the system to all ongoing projects in the future.
In addition to the monitoring system, the city will continue to strengthen dust control measures. It will enforce a grid-based management approach for dust prevention and ensure that all construction sites follow strict regulations. Nighttime inspections will be conducted at 35 priority construction sites, and efforts will be intensified to monitor debris trucks for issues such as dirt on roads, overloading, and improper routes. These steps are part of a broader effort to maintain clean streets and reduce environmental impact from construction activities.
High-alumina rhodochrosite refractory bricks are made of selected high-alumina clinker, rhodochrosite, silica nepheline, combined with clay as the main raw materials, molded by high pressure and sintered at high temperature.
