Waterproofing is a very important part of home decoration. Like other concealed works, it is easy to be ignored by the owners when decorating. Under normal circumstances, the floor of the bathroom, bathroom and kitchen in the building is made of waterproof layer, which is easily destroyed when the floor is refurbished. If it is not repaired in time, it will leak in the future and linger in the neighborhood. Therefore, we must pay attention to the protection of the waterproof layer during the decoration. If it is accidentally damaged, it should be repaired in time to avoid leaving hidden dangers.
There are two main types of waterproof materials for home decoration sold on the market: one is modified asphalt waterproof coating plus glass cloth, and the glass cloth can improve the strength and increase the flexibility. With this kind of coating, the waterproof engineering is more complicated, but the price is not high, about 100 yuan per square meter; the other is polyurethane waterproof coating, which is a waterproof coating with high polymer coating at present. This coating is water resistant, but at a higher price. The price per square meter is around 140 yuan.
Waterproof construction three steps:
The first step: the base layer should be processed first. Remove the original decorative materials, clean up the floating soil and cement, and require the surface to be flat and dry.
The second step: paving waterproof coating. Brush a layer of modified asphalt on the base layer for waterproofing, lay a layer of glass cloth, then repeat the brushing once, and finally apply the coating on the second layer of glass cloth. The waterproof treatment is finished. The waterproof coating should be evenly coated, and the glass cloth and the waterproof layer should be tightly closed. There should be no leakage, lifting and falling off, otherwise the waterproof effect will be affected. If polyurethane is used as the waterproof coating, it is generally not necessary to add a glass cloth, as long as it is repeated for 2-3 times. Because the polyurethane coating itself can form an elastic protective film, it has certain tensile properties. In order to improve the waterproof effect, a layer of glass cloth can be applied, but the cost will increase.
It should be noted that when waterproofing the floor, the waterproof coating and the glass cloth should be brushed to the wall 20-30 cm away from the ground to prevent leakage at the joint between the wall and the ground, thus forming a tight and integral waterproof layer. For the wall of the shower, the soft light wall and the indoor wall that is afraid of leakage, it is necessary to apply the waterproof paint to the wall 1.8 meters or the wall to prevent the wall from leaking.
The third step: to do the "water-shielding" test, the "water-shielding" test is an important test method to test the quality of indoor waterproofing. After the waterproofing project is completed, the door and the drain are sealed, and the water is filled in the room to reach a certain liquid level. If the liquid level does not drop significantly within 24 hours, it is qualified. After the “water-shielding†test is completed, a layer of cement mortar protective layer is applied on the waterproof coating layer, taking care not to damage the already prepared waterproof coating layer. After the cement mortar protective layer is dry, it can be paved with wall tiles or spray paint for normal decoration.

A thin steel plate is made by hot roll or cold drawn with thickness of 0.2mm to 4mm and width between 500mm to 1400mm. Thin steel plates are made from different billets based on its their applications, and usually made from plain carbon steel, excellent carbon steel, structural alloy steel, carbon tool steel, stainless steel, spring steel and electrical silicon steel, etc. They are mainly used in automotive, aviation, enamel, electrical, and engineering industries, etc. A thin steel plate should have pickling, galvanizing and tinning treatments after rolling but before delivery.
A thick steel sheet has thickness over 4mm. In practice, we often refer steel plates whose thicknesses are less than 20mm as medium plates; steel plates with thickness between 20mm and 60mm as thick plates; steel plates made by heavy plate mills with thickness over 60mm as thick steel plates. And the width of thick plates ranges from 0.6mm to 3.0mm. Thick plates are classified into ship steel plates, bridge steel plates, boiler steel plates, pressure vessel steel plates, checkered steel plates, automobile leaf-spring, armoured plates and cladding steel sheets.
