Cotton fertilizer promotion should be suitable

However, there are also farmers' cotton in the management of fertilizer and water and chemical control, which is manifested as two extremes: First, the cotton that is invested in excessive nitrogen fertilizer and vegetative growth is not afraid to use the delayed plant growth regulator to coordinate cotton growth. The vegetative body of the cotton plant is too large and too high, and the distance between the branches of the fruit is elongated. The cotton plant is as high as 160 cm, the fruit branches are indefinitely elongated, the cotton field is severely shaded, the bud bells are largely shed, and the middle and lower cotton boll molds are rotten. When asked why these farmers did not use plant growth regulators, they said that they were afraid that cotton would no longer grow after using the regulator. Second, some farmers use premature plant growth regulators, some of which are used too early, and some application concentrations are too large, so that cotton growth and development are inhibited, the internode distance of cotton plants is shortened to about 3 cm, and the fruit branches are concentrated. Flower buds are difficult to differentiate, and cotton bolls are small and few. These two extreme phenomena can lead to reduced cotton production.

Although plant growth regulators have been used in cotton production for more than 30 years, there are still some blind spots that must be recognized for plant growth regulators:

Choose the correct category. Plant growth regulators used in cotton production are promoted, delayed, and inhibited. To control the vegetative growth of cotton, more retarded plant growth regulators are used. These regulators have a certain inhibitory effect on the cell division and proliferation of cotton meristems, which shortens the internodes of cotton plants and thickens leaves. The color becomes darker and the chlorophyll content increases, thereby improving the photosynthetic efficiency and providing more nutrients for cotton production. There are many kinds of cotton growth regulators and compound preparations on the market, which make people dazzling. Generally speaking, mature retardant regulators are most suitable for ketamine or auxin.

Flexible use. According to years of experience, cotton application of delayed plant growth regulators depends on the day, the ground, and the seedlings are flexible, continuous drought or continuous rain is not suitable for application, cotton seedlings are weak or flowering pollination is not suitable for application, soil fertility, cotton When the seedlings are overgrown, it is necessary to apply the medicine in time. Datian production generally starts from the cotton bud stage and is applied 3 to 4 times. When the nitrogen fertilizer or the excessive fertilizer is observed, it is necessary to spray the ketamine or the melatonin before the rain. It is required to re-spray after the rain.

Strict dose, light before weight. Some farmers' chemical control errors are often related to improper doses, and some do not know the effective content of the regulators. Authentic manufacturers produce 98% of the active ingredient of ketamine, 25% of the active ingredient of auxin, and their ratio is 1:4. When used on cotton, do a small number of times, before the light and then heavy. In the Shenglei period, generally 1 gram of ketamine is used per acre, or 4 milliliters of auxin. In the flowering and bolling period, 2 to 3 grams of ketamine or 8 to 12 milliliters of auxin is used per acre. Concentrate on the peach to topping period with 4 to 5 grams of ketamine or 16 to 20 milliliters of supplement. Strictly according to this dose and combined with the "three look" in the scientific application of cotton production, we will become passive in cotton production.
