Recently, I came across a post on social media where someone was asking about how the model of a pressed steel plate is expressed. Before we dive into this question, it’s important to clarify what exactly a building board refers to.
In mainland standards, pressed steel plates that support floor concrete are referred to as "pressed steel plates." Essentially, this means that the term begins with the letters "YX," which stands for "pressed type," followed by the wave height, wave spacing, and effective width. Occasionally, you might also see the term "YXB" used instead, which represents "pressed plate."
Even after explaining this, some people may still find it confusing, so let me provide an example to make it clearer.
Take the YXB66-240-720 board type as an illustration. This particular type was used in the 2018 Youth Construction Group Yantai Port project, supplied by our company in Shandong Shengbo.
For instance, YXB66-240-720 indicates a pressed steel plate with a wave height of 66mm, a wave spacing of 240mm, and an effective width of 720mm. Sometimes, the wave spacing is omitted, leaving the expression as YXB66-720. Alternatively, it could be written as YX66-240-720 (B), indicating that it’s a closed-end steel plate.
The above explanation is quite formal. However, in practice, people in the industry often use abbreviations for commonly used types. For example, there's the 555-type pressed steel plate (YXB65-185-555), the 2W type (YXB51-305-915), and the 3W type (YXB76-305-915). These abbreviations are widely recognized and simplify communication within the field.
I hope this clarifies things a bit better. If anyone has further questions or needs additional information, feel free to reach out!
