This system primarily includes guide and positioning standard parts, upper and lower semi-axle mold components, mold bases, and upper and lower tooth molds. The interface allows for quick and accurate part selection, improving overall design efficiency. The human-machine interface of the semi-axle mold standard parts library is designed with multiple attribute pages, including the lower mold stress ring, lower mold plate, and core plate. Users can browse different types of standard parts through a list box, select specifications from another list, and view real-time images of the components. When connected to an Access database via VB, the DataGrid control displays detailed attributes such as part markings and dimensions. Clicking on a specific part retrieves its information, while buttons for adding, deleting, drawing, and exiting provide additional functionality. As the size of the side gear changes, the displayed size updates accordingly. When a user selects a row in the data table, the corresponding specification is chosen, and clicking the drawing button launches the SolidWorks platform to generate 3D models based on the selected data. Another button creates a 2D drawing aligned with the 3D model. By leveraging SolidWorks’ feature-based parametric modeling capabilities, geometric and dimensional constraints are applied during the modeling process. An example of the stress ring demonstrates how 3D modeling of standard parts is carried out. The assembly drawing of the semi-axle gear mold shows how fixed parts serve as the base, while other components are assembled according to their relationships. Constraints can be added between parts to enhance realism and accuracy. In conclusion, this paper highlights the advantages of using standard components in precision forging die design. By utilizing SolidWorks' API, a parameterized template library was established, enabling automatic generation of standard parts with specific geometric and informational data. This approach significantly improves design efficiency and simplifies the workflow. The system can also be extended to create 3D libraries for other mechanical standard parts, making it highly versatile and adaptable for future use.
