LED usage rules and maintenance methods

LED Usage Rules and Maintenance Tips:

When you first purchase an LED light, it's important not to rush into installation. Take the time to carefully read the user manual and follow the instructions step by step. This ensures safe and proper lighting setup, preventing potential hazards or damage.

During cleaning or maintenance, avoid altering the lamp’s structure or replacing any parts without guidance. After completing the maintenance, always reassemble the lamp exactly as it was. Make sure all components are in place—don’t lose or misplace any parts, as this can affect performance or safety.

Try to avoid frequent on-and-off switching of your LED lights. Although LEDs have a higher resistance compared to traditional fluorescent lamps, excessive switching can still impact the lifespan of internal electronic components, ultimately reducing the overall life of the lamp.

It’s also important to note that standard LED lights should not be used in damp or humid environments. Moisture can cause damage to the power supply and internal electronics, leading to reduced lifespan and possible malfunctions. Therefore, moisture protection is crucial for long-term performance.

Especially in areas like bathrooms, kitchens, or near stoves, consider using moisture-resistant lampshades. These help prevent water from entering the fixture, which can lead to rust, corrosion, or even electrical short circuits. Always keep these areas well-ventilated to maintain optimal conditions.

Lastly, never rinse or wash your LED light with water. Instead, gently wipe it with a dry cloth. If it gets wet accidentally, dry it thoroughly as soon as possible. Avoid wiping it with a damp cloth immediately after turning it on, as this could cause damage or electrical issues.

Quick Tips:

  • Ordinary LED lights are not compatible with dimmer switches, delay switches, or inductive switches. Using them with such systems may cause flickering or damage.
  • Avoid using LEDs in high-temperature or high-humidity areas, as this can reduce their efficiency and lifespan.
  • The internal power supply of LED fixtures is critical. Non-professionals should avoid disassembling or tampering with the unit to prevent electric shock or other dangers.
  • LED lighting works best in ambient temperatures between 5°C and 40°C. Extreme temperatures can affect performance.
  • Do not use polishing powders or harsh chemicals on metal parts of LED fixtures, as they can cause damage or discoloration.
  • Keep the area behind the LED clean. Use a dry cloth or tweezers to remove dust, ensuring no moisture or debris interferes with the light’s operation.
