Tech Tech Corporation of Japan has introduced an innovative solution called the "Tech Spray System," designed to maintain the efficiency of photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems by preventing performance degradation caused by high temperatures. This system utilizes solar-heated water to cool down PV panels, ensuring they operate at optimal levels even during intense sunlight.
According to recent reports, this system is based on a patented technology titled "Solar Thermal Sensitive Valve and Sprinkler Device Using the Same Valve," which was registered in December 2013. The key feature of the system is its use of a "solar thermal valve," which can automatically open and close without the need for external power sources.
The mechanism works as follows: when sunlight heats a specific part of the system, the sub-valve opens, allowing the main valve to activate and begin the water supply. As the water flows through the sub-valve, it cools the heated area, causing the sub-valve to close and subsequently shutting off the water flow. This entire process is driven solely by the pressure within the water pipes, eliminating the need for electrical components or additional energy inputs.
This eco-friendly and cost-effective approach makes the system ideal for remote or off-grid solar installations where access to electricity may be limited. By relying on natural heat and water pressure, the Tech Spray System not only enhances the longevity of PV panels but also contributes to more sustainable and efficient solar energy production.
