Tech Tech Corporation of Japan has introduced an innovative solution called the "Tech Spray System," designed to maintain the efficiency of photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems even in high-temperature conditions. This system utilizes solar-heated water to cool down PV panels, preventing a drop in energy output caused by excessive heat.
According to recent reports, this system is based on a patented technology titled "Solar Thermal Sensitive Valve and Sprinkler Device Using the Same Valve," which was registered in December 2013. The key feature of this invention is the use of a "solar thermal valve," which automatically opens and closes without the need for electrical power. This makes it a highly efficient and environmentally friendly cooling solution.
The system works by relying on sunlight to heat a specific part of the valve. As the temperature rises, the sub-valve opens, allowing the main valve to activate and start the water flow. Once the water from the sub-valve cools the heated area, the sub-valve automatically closes, followed by the main valve, stopping the water supply. The entire process is driven solely by the pressure within the water pipes, eliminating the need for any external power source.
This design not only reduces operational costs but also simplifies installation, as it only requires basic plumbing infrastructure. By using natural solar energy to trigger the cooling mechanism, the Tech Spray System represents a smart and sustainable approach to maintaining the performance of solar power systems in hot climates. It’s a great example of how simple yet effective engineering can solve real-world challenges in renewable energy.
