The grades for polypropylene products are named as follows:
I. National Standard Nomenclature

Characteristic unit 1 is English polypropylene - Polypropylene abbreviation PP, all grades are the same.
The abbreviation code indicating the type of propylene polymer is:
H - propylene homopolymer
R——propylene random copolymer
B——propylene block copolymer
Feature unit 2
Characteristic unit 2 is the main use or processing method, important properties and additives of polypropylene products. They are all coded with the corresponding English letters. The code numbers are arranged from left to right, which are called first, second, third and fourth. Indicates that the material use or processing method is written in the first place, and important properties, additives, etc. are written in the second to fourth places. See Table 1.

Characteristic unit 3 represents a nominal value of the melt flow rate of the polymer. The nominal value of the melt flow rate is expressed by the resin of the melt flow rate nominal value multiplied by 100 times, but not less than three integers. If there are only two integers after multiplying by 100 times, then a zero should be added before the two integers; if the value after multiplying by 100 times is four integers, then this number is used as the code.
Feature unit 4
The characteristic unit 4 is a remark indicating the type of polymerization of the polymer, and if necessary, the designation of the main use or characteristic of the material. New grades, new uses and new special fillers can be added.

2. Enterprise standard brand nomenclature
The name of the polypropylene resin grade is composed of three parts: the first part is the code name of the processing method of the material, the second part is the code name of the nominal melt flow rate of the material, and the third part is the polymer polymerization type. The code name indicates.
first part:
The processing method of the material, using the first letter of the English code, the following code is used in this Catalogue:
F----squeeze flat film; M----injection;
H----coating; T----extruding flat yarn;
I----blown film; Y----spinning;
G----General
the second part:
The code for the nominal value of the melt flow rate is expressed as a value obtained by multiplying the nominal value of the melt flow rate by 100 times, but not less than three integers. If there are only two integers after multiplying by 100 times, then a zero should be added before the two integers; if the value after multiplying by 100 times is four integers, then this number is used as the code.
Example 1: MFR is 2, 2 00 = 200, then 200 is code:
Example 2: MFR is 0.45, 0.45 is 00=45, and 045 is used as the code name;
Example 3: The MFR is 20, 20?00=2000, and the code is 2000.
Supplementary note to the second part
In order to distinguish the materials by the same number of granulations, the last digit of the melt flow rate code is distinguished by "0" or "1" in the designation of the grade: that is, the "1" indicates that the material only passes through One granulation, and "0" indicates that the material was subjected to secondary granulation.

EP1 or EP2 random copolymer product
For an impact grade, the letters following the two numbers indicate:
M impact ethylene content 6%
R high impact ethylene content 9%
U ultra high impact ethylene content 12%
Therefore, EP2C37F represents a film material of 5.0~7.0, which is randomly copolymerized, with smoothness and anti-stick properties.
